Multiplex – Double multifunction
Front tool-holder with electro-hydraulic controls for quick clean up in orchards and vineyards (pruning, mechanical and chemical weed-killing treatments)
MULTIPLEX is a front tool-holder multifunctional for quick clean up in orchards and vineyards, can be work on level and slightly hilly fields and combined with back shredder, with drastic reduction of work cleaning times, labour and fuel costs. It’s available in RAV8 version for plantations from 1,70 to 2,70 metres inter-stump, RAD5 version for plantations from 2,50 to 4 metres inter-stump, RAD5 large for plantations from 2,80 to 4,50 metres inter-stump.
Technical characteristics
- MULTIPLEX is composed of a central frame, two extensible lateral arms (manual first extension, hydraulic second extension) double work section to choice, electro-hydraulic control and support legs
- working by means of the hydraulic system of the tractor, minimum 60 HP powered, provided of a pump 30 lt. almost, a lighter current-tap and two quick couplings (exercise pressure max 20 bars)
- movements are adjusted from an electro-hydraulic control driven by an electrical box placed in tractor cab with push-button: on/off with warning light, lift/lowering arms, extension/narrowing right arm, extension/narrowing left arm, work/contrary rotation
- lifting and extension of work sections by double effect jacks (extension jacks are equipped by block valves)
- it is applied on the front of tractor with a special junction (ballast frame has to be removed) or on front lift
- easy and quick interchangeability of work sections, that are manually adjustable in every direction for work in plantations with different conformations – it can assemble two rotary brushes for clearing away pruning, diam. 75 or 100cm with nylon rods and support disks on ground, or two self-levelling hydraulic wheels for mowing weeds diam. 60cm with two articulated rotary blades enlargeable in three positions and adjustable in two positions as regards as height from soil, with support little wheels, or two inter-stump hooded bars for weed-killing treatments with support little wheels
- arms of the frame are free and work sections are always supported on the soil, so always follow conformation of the ground, even if there are subsidence
- rate of advancement is in relation with quantity and consistence of grass to cut, or with quantity of pruning to collect, and contemporary use with shredder too
- width of RAD model closed 2,50mt and all extended 4mt
- weight 200 kg. with double work section

Advantages
- using a front tool with double work section makes it possible a reduction of almost 40% of work times and fuel, that means a saving of labour and fuel costs, and minor wear and tear of the tractor, owing to it’s possible cut grass or collect pruning on the two sides of every inter-stump in a sole turn
- contemporary use with a shredder, reduce further on times and costs, because it’s possible cut grass or break up pruning on the centre of inter-stump too
- as well, for the operator is very important to be able to control comfortably work of a front machine instead of a back one
- use of self-levelling wheels exclude chemical weed-killing treatments, in respect of environment, operators and consumers safe
